About Us

Zlaticia Houlton is the founder of Zlata Moda.

The name, Zlata Moda is derived from my name as it means gold, and thus, my brand name and logo.

My inspiration for the Zlata Moda label has roots in my European background.  Growing up in the former Yugoslavia, I was very much influenced by Italian fashion.  My beloved Mama would go across the border to Italy to shop fashionable clothes for my two grown up and very beautiful sisters.  I being only a little girl, despite being a Tom Boy and an ugly duckling, watched with delight in the background the beautiful dresses my sisters wore in the late 60’s.

My love of colour and silk brocades stems from that era, and funny enough the colours and design trends of today very much reflect that period.

Zlata Moda is proud to be part of the iconic Rocks Market. Open every Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 5pm year round, The Rocks Markets is about more than just shopping - it's a Sydney institution. Set amid convict-carved sandstone and along The Rocks' quaint cobblestone laneways, the colourful markets are home to more than 200 eclectic stalls where you can find fashion and accessories by emerging designers, locally-produced homewares, beauty products and original photography, art, crafts and jewellery.
